We had a lovely Christmas stay in a cute little cabin right on the fjord's edge. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views of the fjord and mountains. The cabin itself was cozy and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking and a living room with a porch and BBQ. The staff were friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us when our car had engine trouble. They even provided us with a bigger, warmer house to stay in when we had to extend our stay. We truly appreciated their warm hospitality.
That the cabin could have been cleaner, especially the dishes which we had to clean ourselves. The utilities in the cabin were quite old and could use an upgrade, particularly the skillets, cutlery, and kettle.

The location of the cabin was absolutely fantastic. Situated right by the lake, the views were breathtaking. It was also nice to have the town nearby, making it convenient for any necessities. The cabin itself was clean and well-kept, providing a cozy atmosphere. The kitchenette was well-equipped with basic utensils, allowing us to prepare meals. the staff at the reception were friendly and helpful.
The top bedroom had limited headroom, which could be a bit uncomfortable for taller individuals. There was also a limited choice of restaurants in the town, with a limited menu.

Just spent 8 amazing days at Ormurinn Cottages and it was the best place we've been during our trip to Iceland. The location in front of the lake was simply beautiful, and the cottage itself was cozy, warm, and well equipped. The photos didn't do justice to how spacious it actually was, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The kitchen facilities were excellent and the cottage was spotless. Plus, the owner was incredibly kind and even upgraded us to a bigger house to accommodate our group of 5. Will definitely recommend and come back again next time I'm in Iceland!
Totally recommend this hotel.

The amenities provided, such as WiFi and a smart TV with Netflix, were a great addition. having a well-equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge, freezer, coffee pot, and toaster was very convenient for our short stay.
There were a few downsides to our experience. the couch was uncomfortable due to a lack of pillows and being hard.

We had initially reserved 3 cottages, but the host graciously upgraded us to a beautiful and spacious house. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with a car issue, patiently waiting for our late arrival and even helping us communicate with the car repair staff. They provided us with another cozy house when we had to stay an extra night. The beds were comfortable, the facilities modern and clean, and the location offered a lovely view of the river and city. We really appreciated the warm help and highly recommend this place to all visitors!
